Roland FD-8 - How to connect it to MegaDrum

Hello,
Can you tell me step by step how to connect and configure Roland FD-8 to Megadrum 32 inputs version?
I've already read all posts about Roland FD-8 and everything I got is that I need a resistor on the input, but dunno what it could be for.
I just connected controller to first input and it's not working at all. 1 pin - tip, 3 pin - sleeve, ground.

Regards,
Kamil

Just connecting is not enough. You need to adjust settings. I cannot tell exact settings since I don't have FD-8 myself. Ring and tip must be properly connected (sleeve is always ground).

I've checked everything, every setting and it's still not working. I dunno what can be wrong now :?

1. There is no "every" setting in the MegaDrum menu. You have to be more specific.
2. Measure voltage on the pedal input when the pedal is fully pressed and then when fully depressed.

1. I used this settings: download/file.php?id=1507
2.
Depressed:
Sleeve - Ring: 5.02V
Tip - Ring: 5.02V

Pressed:
Sleeve - Ring: 5.02V
Tip - Ring: 5.02V

Eee... no reaction? o_O

You should measure voltage against the ground which should be the Sleeve if you connected it correctly so on the Sleeve there must always be 0v. Depending on how FD-8 is wired internally there should be either:
a)+5 on the Ring and variable voltage on the Tip
or
b)+5 on the Tip and variable voltage on the Ring

If it is not the case, look for where the connection is wrong.

I found what was wrong. My jack input was just damaged...
Now everything looks fine except settings because my Hihat is set default at 109, not 0. (or 62 if i use Log4 setting).
