Can I use PIC18F4550-DIP instead of PIC18F2550??? And what kindof IC is 6N138N?

You can, but you will have to modify and compile the firmware from viewtopic.php?f=3&t=702&p=8070 and of course make changes to the schematic.

6N138N is an optocoupler.

Thanks! But the firmware is for PIC16F2450 and not PIC 16F4450! :?:

This is why I said "you will have to modify and compile the firmware".

No such thing as a 220 nP capacitor. Did you mean 220n or 220p?

yes there is on a Component list on Synthex v 2.5...

Capacitors :

2* 15pF (ceramic)
2* 22pF (ceramic)
2* 100nF (25v multilayer ceramic)
2* 470nF (25v multilayer ceramic)
2* 220nP (25v multilayer ceramic)
1* 1uF (25v electrolytic or tantalum)
1* 4.7uF (25v radial electrolytic or tantalum)

I think it is a typo must be 220nF i guess!!!
