Cy-8 Bell Threshold Problem

Hi Guys,
I've looked through the forums and can't seem to find my answer.
I have a CY-8, setup as my Ride Cymbal. I know it's only 2 Zones, but I hope to get a 'Virtual Third Zone' for a Bell Sound, when I hit the Bow part hard.
I currently have the Bow and Edge hits setup so they are working, however, the only option I have for a Bell sound is for when I hit the Edge hard, there i no setting for when I hit the Bow hard for it to play a bell sound...

I'm sure I had my CY-8 working this way on my old Roland TD-3.
Is there a setting I'm missing somewhere to allow a BThreshold to be set for the Bow/Head?
Is it in a later Firmware? Later version MCT? or only accessable via LCD screen?

Cheers and Thanks!

I don't have CY-8 so cannot tell anything for sure but if it is a 2 zones cymbal how can you expect the 3 zones functionality from it?

They way the CY-8 worked on the TD-3, was that really hard hits on the Bow played a different sample (i.e Bell) so that's what I expected the 'Bell Threshold' to do... i.e set 'Bell Threshold' to be quite high, and anything above that threshold would trigger a different (bell) midi note, anything below that would trigger Bow note, and anything below the Bow Threshold won't trigger at all.

It seems the 'Bell Threshold' is hard-coded to the Edge zone only, I can get hard Edge hits to trigger a Bell sound, but I want it on the Bow, not the Edge....

Hope this makes sense...

This is not true 3 zones. It is velocity layering, it can be done in software even with one zone.

I knew it wasn't a true 3rd zone, in MCT it looks like "Bell Threshold" is linked to the Edge zone, so made me think it was setting the threshold for this "velocity layering".
OK, i'll look into other software if I really need the feature, thanks for the answer!
