Megadrum is built (synthex kit v2.7) what is next step

Hi,
and first, thanks to everybody for all the useful posts.
I'm absolute beginner, so I searched but am still unsure how to get started...

I just received and finished soldering my (V2.7 synthex kit, thanks Synthex!) Megadrum.
I'm planning to use it plugged in a PC all time.

Do I need any other cable (for buttons, or LED, or LCD, or...) than the USB to get it started ?
Or may I plug it right now into the PC (just with the USB power switch ON)?

What is the minimum required (even if I soldered all the components for Midi, ext power ) to know if it's "working"?

Is there any first launch special procedure ?

Thanks
Marc

If you soldered everything correctly than you can just plug it in and it's ready to be used.
You will need buttons to do firmware upgrades.

Thanks Dmitri
Looks like I'm unlucky.
I plugged it, on XP pro sp3. (on 2 different PCs)
I first got "Megadrum Midi Usb" detected. but it ended with malfunction message.
It does not appear in device manager now.
And device manager does refresh itself each 5 sec.
Any idea what to check ?

This viewtopic.php?f=3&t=268 and obvious: shorts, loose connections/soldering.
