Hi all!
I am currently having problems with sending the MD firmware from MTC. I was able to do it with a mac and then when I tried to update my firmware to the latest firmware (20090211) MTC said that the firmware was sent. however Megadrum does not flash the LED, reboot, or do anything for that matter and now I just have the 16 bars on the top row of the LCD. the bootloader is still installed and can get to the "Fw Updater 16MHz-Send SysEx now" screen. I have tried sending the firmware with windows XP, Ubuntu 8.10, and Mac OS. Any Help will be much appreciated.

It is MCT - MegaDrum Config Tool - and not MTC.
Try to update the firmware again then describe step-by-step what you did and include all relevant information, e.g. MCU type, crystal frequency, MCT settings and so on.

My bad MCT..
1 start MCT (USB selected to Megadrum MIDI USB)
2 Firmware-Update Firmware
3 open "megadrum32_16_32_20090211.syx"
4 boot up MD with left button pressed
5 down button on MD
6 Click "Yes"
7 wait about 10 seconds
8 click ok in MCT
nothing happens except the LED light goes on after confirming the 16MHz in the bootloader
I am using Synthex's 2.8 kit with the Atmega 32 16 MHz crystal

Try like this:
1 boot up MD with left button pressed
2 start MCT, select Megadrum MIDI USB for both MIDI Input and Output
3 Firmware-Update Firmware
4 open "megadrum32_16_32_20090211.syx"
5 down button on MD. The LED should come on.
6 In MCT click "Yes". The LED should start flashing.
7 After about 10 seconds MD should show 'Update finished' and restart itself in about 2 seconds.
Any luck?

Looks reasonable...
At every step try the update again:-
+ Check you have the latest version of the MCT.
+ hold the key “RIGHT” pressed while powering the module
+ Try the previous version of the firmware.
+ Try using MIDIOX

Try MIDI-OX method -
Bootloader topic.
In MIDI-OX make sure you set MIDI Out buffer to more than 60000.
Any luck?
