If I will do a DIY pot pedal, what components I need?? and the schematic? i read about low impedance and high impedance pedals, there are a problem with this in a DIY pot pedal??

I connect my pedal HH (footswitch) to my megadrum and when I push the pedal down, the HH is open and when the position of the pedal is high the HH is Close. Anybody knows why?

Yes, you can use Roland FD8 for the hihat controller.

You need to plug it like that :
HiHat Power Source <-----> A fixed resistor (5k to 25k) <-----> HiHat Input <-----> Roland FD8 Controller <-----> GND

what makes this resistor??

I have a pedal like fd-8 and when is open, the vumeter is in 1/3 and when is close the vumeter is empty. Can this resistor solve the problem??

I don't have resistors between 5k and 25k, can I use a resistor 4,4k??

What are High and Low levels settings you have in MegaDrum for the pedal controller?

I don't have resistor, the schematics I have is:

board - connector - wire40way - HH control jack (source tip, hhcontrol ring and sleeve is GND) - jack cable - millenium hihat pedal like fd8

The pedal has 3 states: open, half-open and close

The level is high 1008 and low 16. If a I put the high level in 260 the HH control is open when the pedal is open, but I haven't the state of half-open!! Is like a switch between open and close.
